"Kanji Master Series" has been prepared for students who have mastered hiragana and katakana to learn and enjoy the process of learning kanji, the third group of characters in Japanese. By using this series, students will learn 2,136 characters listed in the "Revised Joyo (Daily-use) Kanji List" released on November 30, 2010, or 2,150 characters including an additional 14 characters that are considered to have high-frequency of use but not listed in the Revised Joyo (Daily-use) Kanji List, upon completion of N5-N1 series. This series is structured so that students can learn rich vocabulary and idioms as well as kanji. As sample words and sentences given in the textbook are selected from daily and familiar situations, students can acquire words and expressions commonly used in daily life as they learn the kanji characters themselves. For those who are from non-kanji regions, all the kanji in the textbook have ruby (small hiragana characters above the kanji) for easy learning. Because of that, students can grow their ability in kanji without feeling overwhelmed.
