Taking a leading role in abolishing the abominable practice of Sati is undoubtedly the greatest achievement of Rammohan Roy's life. But apart from that, does he have any other contribution to history? History, however, speaks differently. The way Rammohan, like a warrior, showed the courage to perform the great act of cremation by placing the rotten corpses of the then Hindu society on the pyre, no one before him could do it. The king of kings, Rammohan, the Bhagirath of the modern era, brought a new wave of ideas to the life-thirst of a dying nation.
