The Diary of Manu Gandhi (1946-48) features entries by Manubehn Gandhi, M.K. Gandhi's grandniece, detailing her life with him during that time. Starting out as an aide to Kasturba, Gandhi's ailing wife, Manu remained with the family until his assassination. The diary holds special significance as her writings were personally authenticated by Gandhi. Sixty years after his death, this publication makes available for the first time a valuable account of Gandhi's life and ideology.
