As part of the vertical integration between the first year and the final year disciplines, early clinical exposure (ECE) has been added to the first MBBS curriculum. ECE offers students a beneficial introduction to the clinical and social facets of patient care. The student gets to participate in clinics and begin using the knowledge acquired via the ECE chapters in the second professional. The students will be able to develop an appropriate perspective that incorporates the clinical content by developing an understanding of medicine through the physiological basis of disease and its management.
