The People?s Linguistic Survey of India provides an overview of the extant and dying languages of India. It is the culmination of a nationwide survey of languages that has been documented by linguists, writers, social activists, and members of different speech communities. . Critically, it encapsulates the world view of the speakers of the languages. Mizoram ki Bhashayen (Volume 20, Part 1) discusses and documents the languages spoken in Mizoram. along with their varieties. The main objective of this volume is to bring all the extant languages of Mizoram into focus and attempt to preserve them in their authenticity. The book is divided into four parts: I. Mizo and other Important Languages, II. Endangered Languages, III. Languages of the Neighbouring States, IV. Languages of Neighbouring Myanmar.
